Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the MCP Finder website (the "Service") operated by MCP Finder ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MCP Finder, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. In addition, when using this website's particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement.

If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service following any changes shall be deemed acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

MCP Finder provides a directory of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for educational and informational purposes ("the Service"). The Service includes:

  • A searchable catalog of MCP servers with descriptions, installation instructions, and configuration examples
  • Educational guides and tutorials about the Model Context Protocol
  • Links to third-party repositories and resources
  • User-submitted server listings (subject to review)

You understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for MCP Finder to provide the Service. You also understand that the Service is provided "as-is" and that MCP Finder assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery, or failure to store any user communications or settings.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, an MCP Finder official, forum leader, guide, or host, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
  • Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships
  • Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party
  • Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation
  • Upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to the Service
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent

4. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of MCP Finder and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of MCP Finder.

The MCP servers listed in our directory are the property of their respective owners. MCP Finder does not claim ownership of any third-party software, code, or content linked from our Service. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced in the Service are the property of their respective owners.

The Model Context Protocol itself is an open standard developed by Anthropic. MCP Finder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.

5. User Submissions

MCP Finder may allow users to submit server listings, reviews, comments, or other content ("User Submissions"). By submitting content to MCP Finder, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or control all rights to the content you submit
  • The content is accurate and not misleading
  • Use of the content does not violate these Terms and will not cause injury to any person or entity
  • You will indemnify MCP Finder for all claims resulting from content you supply

MCP Finder reserves the right to remove any User Submission at any time, for any reason, without notice.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. MCP FINDER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

MCP Finder makes no warranty that:

  • The Service will meet your requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • The quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained through the Service will meet your expectations
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the Service is done at your own discretion and risk, and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL MCP FINDER, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM:

  • Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to and use of our Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like which may be transmitted to or through our Service by any third party
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the Service

The foregoing limitation of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content that are not owned or controlled by MCP Finder. MCP Finder has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

You acknowledge and agree that MCP Finder shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit, especially before installing any MCP server software.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MCP Finder and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of:

  • Your use and access of the Service
  • Your violation of any term of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right
  • Any claim that your User Submission caused damage to a third party

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If such negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
